Neuropathy From Lyme Disease Warning

Today's post from petwarehousedirect.com (see link below) talks about the tick season in the US but ticks are a problem across the world, so everything mentioned here is very relevant wherever you live. There is a very real danger of getting neuropathy from untreated Lyme disease, which is caused by tick bites. Neuropathic symptoms usually appear in the third stage of the disease and at this point it can be already three to four months since the original infection. It's worth being aware of all the possibilities (the article gives extensive tips) and dealing with any symptoms as soon as they appear. This is especially true if you spend a lot of time walking in wooded areas, or even areas with long grass, where ticks may be present. It's one of the very many possible causes of neuropathy but one that should be taken seriously.
