Nociceptors Feel Your Neuropathy Pain

Today's video which comes via painhq.org (see link below) is made by a student who gives a detailed description of how pain 'works and in particular, nociceptors which are  sensory neurons (nerve cell) that respond to potentially damaging stimuli by sending signals to the spinal cord and brain. The whole video is aimed at other students in the field and as such may be somewhat difficult to understand for unscientific watchers. However, you'll get the idea and certainly increase your understanding of how your neuropathic pain is working in your body.

Nociceptors - An Introduction to Pain

Armando Hasudungan

Detailed YouTube video with illustrated overview of pain pathways.

In this 12 minute YouTube video, Armando Hasudungan gives a detailed, illustrated overview of the major pain pathways. It's geared to a pretty complicated level - science student - but he does a nice job explaining the key pathways, and his illustrations are good.

He does speak pretty quickly, and sometimes that style of illustrating while narrating can add to the challenge of understanding a difficult subject matter. But you can always watch the video again or rewind a difficult section.
